Seasoned entrepreneur Rupert Murdoch owner of News Corporation plans to remove all indexes content from Google's search results in the near future.
It is said Jonathan Miller, chief digital officer of News Corp. in Monaco Media Forum last week. The plan, all content produced by media under the umbrella of News Corp., like The Times, The Sun, and the Wall Street Journal will be cleansed from the Google index engine in the next two years.
According to him, the media industry will not survive if the content-high-quality content is given away freely. He was sure, without the help of Google's search results, the articles made by the media News Corp. can survive and find a place in the hearts of readers.
"Traffic coming from Google's often not desirable that the reader immediately abandoned. That's exactly what actually harmful to us. The effect of the economy was expected. So, you can live without it," Miller said as reported by the Telegraph website.
Miller said there are many approaches to charge of online content and things like that that News Corp. continue to think about. Previously, Murdoch had said that News Corp. plans to apply tariffs to access all the articles made under the media start next June. However, the plan may be delayed.
News Corp. is including this long felt disadvantaged from the articles that appeared through the search engines. For example, the Wall Street Journal article that should be paid if accessed from the site - only free for the first paragraph - but it can be fully accessed if from a Google search result link.
News Corp. will close the meeting emphasized the reach of Google into the content-led content and media industries to follow. This is called News Corp. as a real competition between the camps of free and paid.
